Reactions as kind-hearted landlord cancels 2020 rent for students living in his hostel

Steven Ukpabi has become a source of joy to many students living in his hostel in Umudike, Abia state after he canceled the 2020 rent for students living in his hostel.

People are overwhelmed by this single act of generosity portrayed by Steven. He knows 2020 has been a tough year for everybody.

Recall that since March 2020, u the University students has been at home due to the global Covid-19 crisis that is ravaging the world at large and the lecturers of all Federal and State Universities has been on ASUU strike for the past 9 months now.

This means that students have spent a larger part of their academic year at home and the house rent they paid is a waste already.

Steven who has the heart of gold considers these factors and stated that students of Michael Okpara University living in his hostel 'Sungai Pacific Lodge' which is located at Umudike, who has paid their rents for the year 2020 should be refunded or be used as fresh rent for next year 2021.
