Exclusive interview with the founder of CT-TAXI and CT-LOGISTICS

Most entrepreneurs believe that starting a business in Nigeria is the most difficult thing to do.

But youths who are determined to solve human problems in one way or the other takes the risk to setup a business so as to reduce the unemployment rate in Nigeria.

Meet our CEO of the week JOHNSON MUSA who has set a standard in the E-hailing company.

Tell us about yourself

My name is Johnson Musa. Am a graduate of political science from Kogi State university. MSC in political economy from Nasarawa State university, Keffi.

I founder CT-TAXI and CT-LOGISTICS.

Tell us about CT Taxi

CT-TAXI is a product of city track technologies Ltd. An indigenous E-hailing app that started operating in 2018 in FCT. In CT-TAXI, we do offer other services like inter State, we do fleet management. We do general transport services.

What motivated you to venture into this business?

Am naturally not a man who believes in a white collar job. I believe in solving problems in the society. By floating my brand, many will have opportunities to explore and that will make me HAPPY as an individual. Giving people opportunity to discover to feed their home and do pay their bills is the greatest motivation I ever wished for.

Why do you choose to be an entrepreneur?

This is a virgin area that is been overlooked by young people in Nigeria. I feel I should get involved to motivate other lads into offering services to the society without waiting for Government to provide all the jobs.

How many people have you employed in your company since you started?

Our employees are in 3 categories...We have City track technologies staffers. We have CT-TAXI drivers. We have city LOGISTICS riders as well. We have both directly and indirectly employed over 50 people in the last two years. And we hope to do more.

Do you think you have solved unemployment problem in your own little way?

Having over 50 adults in our circle in just two years is a testimony we give God daily.

Tell us how CT Taxi operates

This operates like any other E-hailing app you can think of. But the good thing here is that, you can actually hand over your cars to the company and be paid monthly without the stress of drivers on ur head. You can hail a taxi. You can Book a taxi. You can as well book any type of cars you want on our platform.

What are the current challenges you are facing in your business?

In any business, you will have a start up issues. It's a normal challenges and we thank God we are still standing

In 2020 there was lockdown due to Covid-19 and a lot of businesses collapsed, how did you scale through that?

We were affected as well like any other businesses. But bcos we are indigenous and have other product in our company to render to the public, we managed to scale through. Infact we launched our LOGISTICS services in the heat of the lockdown. We quickly employed over 10 dispatchers and began to take delivery services around FCT and inter State.

What advise do you have for the young entrepreneurs who are aspiring to be like you?

The country is still a virgin land to explore. Instead of waiting for the government, Create or seek opportunities where you may not expect. It will always be difficult, yes! but when you are determined, you will get there.
