Team Nigeria has secured it's first bronze medal in the ongoing Olympic competition in Tokyo by Ese Brume.

Ese Brume who is a 25 years old athlete qualified for the final stage of the competition on Sunday morning leaping to a distance of 6.76m, 1cm more than the required mark.

Ese Brume made a 6.97m jump in the final to secure bronze medal.

Ese Brume is the Nigerian's representative in Tokyo since the disqualification of Ruth Usoro by the athletic integrity unit way back.
