Hungary landlord threatens to force out Nigerian Embassy over house rent

Geoffrey Onyeama who is the Nigerian Minister of Foreign Affairs made a shocking revelation that the landlord of the property where Nigerian Embassy is located in Hungary is threatening to eject them out due to lack of money to pay house rent.

Geoffrey disclosed this while defending the ministry's 2021 budget on Tuesday at the House of Representatives in the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.

Geoffrey claimed that the ministry needs N1.6 billion to move Nigerian ambassadors and pay officers N3.7 billion.

On Monday, the ambassador in Hungary made a call across to Geoffrey Onyeama to tell him that they are going to throw them out from Chancery building that there is no money on ground to pay them.

Geoffrey said it's not easy at all, this bills are computed in naira and all the payments abroad are in dollars.
